Fostering independence for the next stage of life.
Ohana’s independent living program is designed to improve the transition into adulthood for teens exiting foster care. Each youth will
have opportunities to build skills based on their individual needs and ultimately to live independently.
Each youth will learn skills that include daily living skills, budgeting, nutrition, home locating & living, employment & career planning, educational development, transportation, social outings to help build community, and goal planning.
Each month and as needed, the youth in our program will meet one on one with a case manager to ensure the youth’s case plan is on track & milestones are being reached. Each of the youth’s goals will be designed to their individual wants and needs.
