For many of us, getting from one place to another is something we rarely think twice about. But for youth and young adults in foster care, transportation can be one of the biggest barriers to independence.
Here in Phoenix, where public transit is limited and spread out, not having reliable transportation often means missed classes, lost job opportunities, and constant uncertainty.
That’s why this week, we’re celebrating a huge milestone for one of our young adults in Extended Foster Care. Thanks to the support of our amazing donors, she received her very own electric scooter!
This simple gift means freedom. She can now travel safely to school and work, all on her own.
Moments like this remind us that independence and a sense of freedom doesn’t always come from big gestures. Sometimes it starts with small steps that make a big difference. Thank you for helping our young adults move forward with hope and confidence.
