Ohana AZ has created a unique fundraising opportunity for our friends and partners to host a gathering in their homes, businesses, churches, or other venues to support the work of Ohana AZ. Donate Items
Looking for an easy way to contribute to Ohana? Any donation, no matter how big or small is appreciated! Consider picking up one of these items for a foster child: hygiene products for boys and girls, gift cards, NEW clothing items & shoes, bed sheets, blankets, & pillows (Twin & XL Twin), skateboards, rollerblades, scooters, or other active equipment. Please drop off donations at our office between 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday.
Friends of Ohana
Friends of Ohana is a non-profit organization founded to support foster children and special needs adults living in group homes in Arizona. Friends of Ohana help supports older foster children as they transition to adulthood. Our mission is to be the extended family to foster children and special needs adults by providing funding for: family-like opportunities, transportation, workforce development, transitional housing, mentorship, and other support services. Our mission is for every person we serve to feel loved and valued, experience hope and dignity for their lives, and get to live out their purpose and be a positive contributing member of their community.

Is Ohana recognized as a qualified foster care organization by Arizona and eligible to receive directed donations?

Yes, as one of the state’s leading foster care organizations, Ohana has been named as an Arizona qualified foster care organization.

How do I qualify?

You must be an Arizona resident. You must donate by check or online by April 15, 2023 to qualify for the 2022 Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit.

How do I make a qualifying donation to Ohana?

You can make a secure gift online (click the Donate Now button on this page) by April 15, 2023 to claim your credit for the 2022 tax year. Donations by the tax filing deadline – typically April 15 – qualify for a tax credit for the previous tax year.

Can I give to Ohana and still take advantage of other Arizona state income tax credits?

Yes. Tax credits for donations to schools and other charitable organizations are still available even after using the Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit. Check with your tax professional.

When can I take advantage of the tax credit?

You must donate by check or online by April 15, 2024 to qualify for the 2023 Arizona Foster Care Tax Credit.

How do I claim my credit on my AZ tax return?

To claim the tax credit: Mail checks or donate online by April 15, 2024 for 2023 tax returns. You will be provided a donation receipt that you can provide to your accountant as proof of your foster care tax credit donation. File Arizona tax forms 352 and 301 with your state tax return.
